Salt water aquariums are rapidly becoming America’s latest hobby craze. I am partial to that subgroup, the reef tank. I find that the diversity of life and the living coral is facinating to watch, nurture and celebrate. I once dived the Great Barrier Reef, and in my home I have a reef aquarium to bring some of that far away place in to my home now.
I love my reef tank but often have trouble finding really consistent helpful information. The hobby has grown by leaps and bounds, and ironically the size of the tanks available has shrunk. You can get normal Reef tanks, Pico reef aquariums and even Nano reef aquariums.
I’ll cover all of that in my site.
You can design, prepare and create your own perfect miniature biosphere. With all the options available for what to use to populate your aquarium, you can literally make your own living statement of design. There are a virtually unlimited number of combinations of fish and invertebrates you may select.
There are a couple things to consider before starting your own reef aquarium, however. It’s a big undertaking, especially on the front end, so you need to be aware of what you’re getting into, and more importantly, to decide how much time and dedication you’re willing to put forth. I am a total tank junkie, so I am futzing with it and trying to make it better each day.
I hope you find all you need here to share my passion.
Thanks for visiting.

Good luck with your undertaking! My Uncle is a total tank junkie, and he just loves it (too much)…but good on him
