Biocube 29 help please?

Ok got my bio cube 29 setup with salt water and 25 lbs of live sand yesterday.Today I put in 25 lbs of live rock took my bio balls out put a small piece of live rock in the bottom of the back middle section and put some bio balls back in.I tested the water for salt it is 1.024 I believe that is correct the 024 is I know. Then I purchased a reef master test kit from aquarium pharmaceuticals. It test calcium, caronate hardness, phosphate and nitrate levels.I tested all of them my Nitrate is at zero the phosphate is 0.0ppm the calcium is 300 mg/L ppm and the caronate hardness is 1 dKH or 17.9 what do you think of these levels? This kit didn’t have a ammonia test what do you think of that? Tank is running about 77-78 degrees. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. What should I do next?
So if I get a ammonia test it spikes and then it should drop with the nitrates and then I know the tank has cycled? Then I do a small water change and can ad 1 fish?
After the tank cycles ideally I would want my numbers at what?

14 gallon nano aquarium stocking?

I have a 14gallon nano reef that i need help stocking. I already have 5 blue legged hermits, 4 snails(Astrea), 1 Emerald Mithrax Crab, some mushroom coral and a leather coral(toadstool)

so now i need to decide on fish, shrimp, other inverts, and more corals. Any suggestions? I have a total of 48 watts of compact fluorescent lighting on this tank.

What kind of shrimp would you suggest?
What and how many fish would you suggest?
Any other cool inverts to include/look into?
What are some good corals for my setup?

THNX.

Saltwater Nano Reef Setup?

I am setting up a ten gallon nano reef tank. I am using a 10gal. because i have very limited space. What are the set up equipment and the price for the basic setup? What kind of coral, fish and clean up crew i should/can have for it? What is general maintenance?

What do i need to setup a marine reef tank?

ive been running this tank for about 6 months now but i have a 1 yearold fish only tank awell.
my reef tank is a 180L tank with T5 lighting and good protien skimmer. i also have the filter that came with the tank (600lph)and 2 powerheads which are on at different times.

inside is 4 seahorses a cleaner wrass, 2 cleaner shrimps, a manderin fish (who does eat frozen foods) and a gobie, 2 oysters and some snails and stuff.
i also have a newish zoanthids with about 40 heads and a mushroom leather coral. i am currently only adding vitamins and marine snow as food.

i have no room for a sump but i was wondering is there anything else i need to give my reef tank the best start possible?

Beginner salt-water aquarium?

I want to start a small salt water aquarium for my daughter. I am new to the aquarium hobby as I have only had 1 small fresh water aquarium many many years ago. I basically want 2 Ocellaris Clown fish (Nemo) and some cleaner shrimp. I have heard that a FOWLR is much easier than a reef and cheaper as well. My question is what size tank should I start out with for these 2 fish? Should I get a Nano Cube or get a regular tank and the equipment myself? How much will getting a salt water setup for these 2 fish cost? I have been doing some research and I know there is a LOT involoved in getting a salt water tank set up and maintaining it, but I do want to start it up as a hobby along with giving my 2 year old daughter Nemo fish to look at.

Starting a 10 gallon Nano reef tank?

im thinking of starting a 10 gallon nano reef tank.

I want to start with a pair of ocellaris clown fish
(fake kind. the ones that have been held in captivity. not wild caught)

I also would want to put live sand, and some live coral along with base coral.

1) how much would 10 pounds of live sand cost…and how much is normal sand?
2) how much would 10 pounds of live coral cost, and 10 pounds of base coral
3) can i use the two HOB filters that i modded this 10 gallon with(for my current freshwater setup)… or do i NEED a skimmer or a different filter? (how do i rig them to be for saltwater…CLUELESS)

4) can you please give me links to filters (if needed) and price ranges.
and how to rig a freshwater HOB filter

Thanks. ;)

Is this good combination?

An Upside Down Jellyfish and a Cuttlefish, they are both reef compatible and coral compatible, but are they compatible with each other?? I have a 37 gallon tank (just got it, has’nt been setup yet). And the species of cuttlefish im talking about is the smaller one, the one that stays small.
Upside down jellyfish are compleatly reef safe, unlike most jellyfish thay can be kept with other species, their tenticles are only strong enough to catch phytoplanton, they can also be ket in a rectangular tank. All I need to know is if these two can live in peace.

Unique aqua-scaping ideas?

I purchased a 75 gallon fish tank and the basic equipment; I have had everything setup and running for about a week now. I have gravel, a piece of driftwood, some reef rocks, and plastic aquarium plants. I am very creative and crafty so I’m not afraid to try something challenging. I am looking to keep a minimal budget. I do not want to crowd the tank with rocks and plants but I need something to give me a "WOW" factor.
