24 GALLON NANO TANK.- with-150W HQI/4LunarLights?
I have a 1 year olf 60 gallon FOWLER tank. Now i want to try a reef tank.
ok i have the24 gallon aquapodwith the 150w HQI and lunar lights - got it for 9. I have not started the cycle. For a healthy reef setup what else do i need? Can you recommend a good protein skimmer that will fit? I am in LA,CA, do i really need a chiller? I am planning on getting 2 true preculas to try to breed them. I will start the cycle mid july with live sand/fiji premium live rock— how many pounds should i put in? I will start to add corals like in 6months or so. What are the best corals for a nano tank?
Any advice?
Can you give me link or somthing where i can go into and shop for protein skimmers/any upgrade media for my nano tank

Here’s some information to help you click on the link below.

From my understanding, you will need a protein skimmer if you are planning to have a reef tank. The live rocks or corals needs to be at a specific temperature preferably at 78-82 degrees. So if you don’t have an air conditioner, you should buy one because a chiller will cost you roughly around $400-500.00. You may be able to find chillers that are cheaper, but the average price range is listed above.
Please note that everyone has their own likes and dislikes, if you click on the link listed above, it’ll tell you what type of equipment should be used. If you need more information, you can search marine aquariums on wikipedia, it’s also very accurate.
I hope this helps you, thank you for asking…………..
